Step 1 — Choose from Plug & Play or Universal Single Wire splice in design.

JMS PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 Single and Dual Fuel Pump Voltage Boosters are offered in Plug and Play configurations for most 2011-2014 Ford applications, including 2011-2014 Mustang GT and Shelby GT500. Anyone can quickly and easily install JMS Plug & Play devices by un-plugging the OEM Fuel Pump Driver Module connectors and plugging the FuelMAX V2 in-line between the factory harness and Fuel Pump Driver Module. The 2011-2014 Mustang GT and V6 utilize a single Fuel Pump Driver Module, use part numbers: PM-2000-PPM11 or PM-2009-BOOST-PPM11. The 2011-2014 Shelby GT500 has two Fuel Pump Driver Modules, use part numbers: Part # PM-2020-PPS11 or PM-2029-BOOST-PPS11.

The universal PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 Fuel Pump Voltage Booster is designed for virtually any vehicle or fuel pump type, including all Ford, GM, Chrysler and Import vehicles. The universal design is most commonly used on pre-2011 Mustang and Shelby GT500 applications, or any GM, Dodge, Chrysler, or import vehicle applications. If you can cut and splice a single wire then you can quickly and easily install a universal PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 on your vehicle!

Vehicles that power a single fuel pump or FPDM when the key is turned to the on position use part number: PM-2000 or PM-2009-BOOST (Ford and most imports). GM and Chrysler vehicles OR any vehicle that has continuous power going to the FPDM regardless of key position use part number: PM-2000-GM or PM-2009-BOOST-GM for a single fuel pump application.

Vehicles that power dual fuel pumps or dual FPDM’s use part number: PM-2020 or PM-2029-BOOST. These are dual units with separate wiring and fuses for each fuel pump or FPDM.

Step 2 — Choose the type of device activation that works best for you.

JMS PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 Single and Dual Fuel Pump Voltage Boosters are offered with two different activation types.

  • Type 1 – Activate voltage boosting via Ground or a monitored 0-5 volt sensor signal.
    • Typically the ground method is the most common, with the activation via the included Hobbs switch kit (user adjustable from 3-7 psi, and pre-set at 5 psi).
    • 0-5 volt sensor signal monitor methods include monitoring the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure), TPS (Throttle Position Sensor), and MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor).
    • All Plug and Play Voltage Boosters include the optional harness to activate voltage boosting via the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor on all 2011-2014 Ford Vehicles.
    • Part numbers that support ground or 0-5v activation: PM-2000, PM-2000-GM, PM-2020PM-2000-PPM11 and PM-2020-PPS11.

JMS PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 Universal and Plug & Play Single and Dual Fuel Pump Voltage Boosters are also offered with a dedicated internal boost activation type that offers a range from 1-29 psi.

  • Type 2 – Activate via internal boost sensor (1-29psi)
    • This dedicated internal boost activation is designed to only read boost pressure and it will activate the unit based on your determined boost level.
    • These units do not allow for activation via ground, 0-5 volt signal, or accelerator pedal position sensor.
    • Part numbers that support internal boost activation: PM-2009-BOOST, PM-2009-BOOST-GM, PM-2009-BOOST-PPM11, PM-2029-BOOST, and PM-2029-BOOST-PPS11.

The installation of the JMS PowerMAX is simple. All you have to do is answer two simple questions: which type of Fuel Pump Voltage Booster, single or dual, and which type of activation method works best for your application. The rest is easy, splice in or plug & play. If you’re not sure what is best for you, or if you have more questions, that’s easy too. The concept behind boosting the voltage of your fuel pump or fuel pump driver

JMS PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 Fuel Pump Voltage Booster

Did you know you can reliably use the factory fuel pump to support additional horsepower?

You can and it’s not a new concept, although traditional products designed for this purpose have typically been low-tech and don’t offer a clean and consistent output, or don’t offer enough output to support high horsepower levels. The new JMS PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 V2 is the first product to offer 40 amps of total output in a single device, and a full 80 amps of output from a dual device. View the various different products via an oscilloscope and you’ll see that PowerMAX produces the cleanest and most consistent output as well.

So what kind of horsepower can you support with PowerMAX FuelMAX V2 V2?

  • 2011+ Mustang GT customers have reported making +925rwhp with the stock fuel pump and a FuelMAX V2
  • 2011+ Shelby GT500 customers have reported making +1050rwhp with the stock fuel pumps and dual FuelMAX V2
  • SVT Raptor customers have reported making +750rwhp with the stock fuel pump and a FuelMAX V2
  • 2010+ Camaro customers have reported making +800rwhp with the stock fuel pump and a FuelMAX V2
  • Nissan Skyline GTR customers have reported making +1000rwhp with the stock fuel pump and a FuelMAX V2

What are some other advantages of PowerMAX FuelMAX V2?

  • Boost fuel pump voltage ONLY when the extra fuel volume is needed
  • Keep your fuel cool and reduce or eliminate the chance of vapor lock
  • No need to upgrade the factory fuel pump or fuel lines
  • Eliminate the gasoline smell associated with aftermarket fuel systems
  • Enable Voltage Boosting via either Ground and external pressure switch or via external 0-5 volt sensor signal
  • Simple to install – Choose from either Universal Single Wire splice in design or Plug and Play
  • Universal – If you can cut and splice a single wire then you can install a universal PowerMAX FuelMAX V2

Other features you should know about:

  • Universal units activate voltage boosting via Ground or a monitored 0-5 volt sensor signal
  • Plug and Play for most 2011-2014 Fords: Mustang GT and Shelby (Anyone can quickly and easily install)
  • Plug & Play units activate voltage boosting via Accelerator Pedal Position (Can also use ground activation)

When to use a GM or Standard Voltage Output?

  • If you have a GM that is 2010 or newer, you must use the GM specific unit
  • Starting in 2010 the fuel pump driver modules on GM vehicles are powered ON all of the time
  • JMS offers a special GM version of the FuelMAX V2 for 2010+ GM vehicles
  • Use the Standard Ford device ONLY if your vehicle utilizes “Key-ON +12v” to power the Fuel Pump or Pump Driver

Single or Dual Outputs, which unit is right for you?

  • Single Unit: For use on all vehicles that only have a SINGLE Fuel Pump or Fuel Pump Driver Module
  • Dual Unit: Use on vehicles that have Dual Fuel Pumps or Dual Fuel Pump Driver Modules such as the Shelby GT500 or Nissan Skyline GTR

JMS – World’s Most Powerful 2v Mustang 821rwhp – Congrats: Nathan Alleman Dyno Wars 3rd place – MM&FF March 2013 Issue

Nathan Alleman is a serious STUD for doing what everyone else just talks about.  He drove his JMS Tuned 2001 Mustang GT 3000 miles round trip from Texas to Las Vegas.  Once in Vegas MM&FF strapped his steed to Shelby’s DynoJet 248C and Nathan spit out 821rwhp!!  It is GREAT to see someone actually drive to a dyno event and KICK ASS!  Many thanks to Nathan for flying a JMS windshield banner.

You can read the entire Dyno War Article starting on page 38 of the March 2013 issue of MM&FF Magazine. Or you can click the image above to read Nathan’s story. Don’t forget to check out the JMS Twin Turbo Shelby Mustang, covered on page 66 of the same issue.

Nathan’s car is wicked cool.  One big reason for this car’s appeal is that there isn’t another 2v on the planet that can hang.  His reliable engine setup consists of a MMR 325″ stroker, ported TFS 2v Heads, Stage 3 camshafts and a Reichard Intake.  Air is forced into the engine via a ProCharger F1 @ 22psi combined with a 50hp hit of Nitrous. JMS provided the ECU Calibration.  Fred Brown built the bulletproof 4R70W transmission.   A strong overdrive transmission is a MUST have for any serious street car.  It is our opinion that Fred Brown builds the most reliable transmissions on the market.

In the MM&FF Article you can also read about Nathan running a 9.60@149mph when he arrived back in Houston.  Due to space requirements the article doesn’t mention the rest of the story.  At the track: He left the starting line with the wheels in the air….lifted, corrected, pedaled, finally got it straight and ran it out the back door and went 9.60@149mph.  This car will easily run in the high 8’s once he sorts out his suspension.
